Indian wicket-keeper batter Sanju Samson played an absolute blinder of an innings in the 3rd T20I match played between India and Bangladesh on Saturday, 12th October at Hyderabad's Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium. Samson scored 14 runs of Rishad's seventh over and continued his attacking game and smacked a six deep over extra cover moving on his back-foot in the eighth over which was being bowled by Mustafizur. They lost an early wicket of Abhishek Sharma, but Samson quickly took control and paired brilliantly with the skipper Suryakumar Yadav. He scored a half-century in 22 balls, the fastest by any Indian batter against Bangladesh in this format. But he did not stop there, as he scored 30 off one over against Rishad Hossain by hitting five consecutive sixes and completed his century in just 40 balls. He became the second-fastest Indian to do so in T20I cricket, after Rohit Sharma's 35 ball ton.. However, looking to keep attacking, Samson mistimed a shot and was caught at deep square leg by Mahedi Hasan on Mustafuzur Rahman's bowling, scoring 111 runs off 47 balls. India was at 196/2 in 13.4 overs at the time of his dismissal.
