The second Test match between South Africa and Pakistan is currently underway at Newlands in Cape Town. The hosts have already taken a 1-0 lead in the two-match series and qualified for the World Test Championship (WTC) final in 2025. He was seen in immense pain and this incident shocked the entire Pakistan team. Ayub, who twisted his ankle was later taken back on a stretcher. The scope of Ayub’s injury is yet to be examined, Pakistan would be hoping to not let this young batter become prey to another injury especially when the Champions Trophy 2025 is just two months away. Ayub has become a crucial part of the Pakistan team after his back-to-back match-winning knocks in the recent series. Currently, the team physio is examining his condition and has already taken him to the hospital for the required scans.
