In a T20 game between Old Woking CC and Woking WT20 Tigers CC in Surrey's Men's Shield 3, a hilarious moment occurred when the batters of Old Woking CC ran for a single, but the fielders of Woking WT20 Tigers CC failed to attempt a run-out despite having ample time. The incident took place on the fifth ball of the 11th over, when Mohamadasim Pirjada came in to bat after the fall of the wicket of Hari Maddali on the previous ball. Pirjada, who was facing his first delivery, went for a big shot but edged it towards the short fine leg region. Agney Das, who was at the non-striker's end, quickly ran for a single, but Pirjada refused to leave the crease, leaving Das frustrated. It was an easy opportunity to run Das out, but the batter had all the luck on his side that day. The fielder collected the ball and threw it towards the bowler at the non-striker's end. A funny mishap occurred as the bowler failed to grab the ball not once, but twice, making it easy for Das to return to his end. This moment left everyone from both teams in splits. In the video below, the players of both OWCC and WT20 can be seen laughing after the fielding blunder.
