During the on-ongoing Duleep Trophy match at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium on Saturday, Rishabh Pant was seen teasing Kuldeep Yadav when he was on-air, in between India A and India B. While Kuldeep came out to bat, Pant tried playfully to block Kuldeep's vision by putting his finger inside Kuldeep's helmet. He also jokingly tried to twist Kuldeep's hand. Both Pant and Kuldeep have been teammates for the Delhi Capitals in the IPL and for the Indian team across all three formats. India A were bundled out for 231 runs as no India A top-order batters could carry on as they were dismissed after a good start to their innings. However, India B managed to do better, courtesy of a brilliant innings by the 19-year-old Musheer Khan in the 1st innings, who played an innings of 181 runs. He was supported well by Navdeep Saini, who batted with a half-century. Saini was equally potent with the ball as he picked up three wickets. India B lead with 123 runs at Tea Break and would look to bat for the remaining day in order to add some more runs to the total. While both Pant and Kuldeep are expected to be part of the Indian squad, which plays a two-match Test series against Bangladesh next month, followed by a three-match series against New Zealand. Pant is yet to play a Test match since his accident that kept him out of action for over a year. However, the southpaw played an important role in India's victory in the T20 World Cup 2024. Meanwhile, in the other game going on in Duleep Trophy, India C, led by Ruturaj Gaikwad, raced off to a very comfortable lead and looks all set for a win in their opening game of the tournament.
