At the fourth Test between India and England at Emirates Old Trafford, Manchester, there was a worrying moment involving Rishabh Pant that left the fans and his teammates agog. The incident took place when Pant tried a dangerous reverse sweep off Chris Woakes. The delivery was a slower one that came in nicely to the blockhole. Pant's reverse sweep, planned in advance, ended in disaster as the ball hit him right on the boot. England quickly appealed for LBW, but the umpire denied them. They reviewed upstairs, and technology came to the rescue of Pant, proving there was a very faint under-edge. But the greater concern was how Pant was after being hit. He was visibly in pain, struggling to stand on one leg. There was definite swelling and even bleeding. Drinks were ordered by the umpires as the physio sprinted in to check on the damage. Given that he had hurt his finger already in the last match, this latest mishap was an added disappointment. Pant's agony did not subside. He could not keep going, and the physio had to help him off the field. A small ambulance cart was eventually brought onto the field to cart him away, with Pant writhing in agony as he was wheeled off. It was a sad sight for Indian supporters and a serious point of the game. Watch the video here: It sounds like you're really concerned about Rishabh Pant!
