Rishabh Pant returned to Test cricket after nearly two years by playing for the Test against Bangladesh at Chennai. Though Pant could score only 39 off 52 in the first innings of the Test, in India's second innings, he seemed to play some impressive shots and reached his 12th half-century in Test cricket. Pant finished his fifty on the third day, on 88 balls. Before that, Pant entertained the crowd with a few of his trademark shots. In the 40th over, Mehidy Hasan Miraz bowled when Pant came down the track and lofted the ball over long off for a one-handed six. Both Pant and Gill were looking good post lunch. Rishabh Pant completed his 6th Test century before losing his wicket to Mehidy Hasan Miraz. The southpaw scored a brilliant 109 off 128 and his innings comprised of 13 fours and 4 sixes. On the other hand, Shubman Gill is also nearing his 5th Test century.
