Openers Ayush Mhatre (57 off 55)* and Sai Sudharsan (10 off 49)* ensured a solid start with a brisk 71-run unbeaten partnership. Earlier, South Africa A were bowled out for 309 in 91.2 overs after resuming at 299/9. Off-spinner Tanush Kotian was the pick of the bowlers with 4/83, well supported by Gurnoor Brar (2/45) and Manav Suthar (2/62). For the visitors, Jordan Hermann (71), Zubayr Hamza (66), and Rubin Hermann (54) were the key contributors. Despite losing early wickets, the middle order helped South Africa A post a competitive total. With 65 overs remaining in the day, India A will look to build a strong first-innings foundation in response.
