As Ganesh Chaturthi is coming to an end on September 17, people are seen performing their final puja to Lord Ganesha as the idol is going to be immersed. Among the devotees is a big fan of Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB). This fan has special desire that he wants to see the RCB win the IPL trophy in the 2025 season and so has sought the assistance of Ganpati Bappa. In a touching gesture, the fan writes the wish on the paper as "Ee Sala Cup Namde (This year the cup is ours) RCB 2025", in front of the Ganesh idol before he leaves, hoping that Lord Ganesha will make this wish come true. The fan also made a video of this and put it up on X (formerly Twitter). The video seems a reflection of the hope and belief of the fan that RCB would finally win the IPL trophy next year. Although Faf du Plessis-Led RCB fought well in the Eliminator against Rajasthan Royals but, it wasn't enough to be help them go ahead in the tournament. Despite this loss, the loyal crowd of RCB - those who have been along with the team since its launch in 2008 - doesn't stop coming for the team. One reason for this loyalty is Virat Kohli, who led the team from 2013 to 2021, when the team reached the playoffs four times. Nevertheless, the trophy of the IPL had always evaded them. Since they started, RCB, across the years, have reached the knockout stages record nine times and reached the final three times, but they always ended up as runners-up. The last time they entered the final was in 2016 when they lost to Sunrisers Hyderabad that took away the title. As RCB prepares for the 2025 season, expect changes to the team. There is a mega auction scheduled between December 2024 and February 2025, and the team could include new faces in their side. There are reports too doing rounds about KL Rahul, who has played for RCB both in 2013 and 2016. Rahul also represented Sunrisers Hyderabad and Punjab Kings and currently leads the Lucknow Super Giants. Also Read | Surprising Cricket Facts You Didn’t Know! Test Your Knowledge
