Legendary India batter Rahul Dravid was indeed amazed by the skills and deliveries that schoolgirls showcased at the Royals Cricket Cup 2024, one of the biggest inter-school competitions for girls in India. Rahul, famous for his sound defense, was deserted on a few deliveries by the schoolgirls, who were thrilled to bowl against the former cricketer. The video of the reaction of Dravid getting beaten by balls is going viral on social media because he was praising the young girls for their enthusiasm and skillful bowling, despite getting caught off the guard two times in a row. After a brief stay in the middle, Dravid congratulated the girls and interacted with the teams. The winning team was handed over the trophy and a cheque by Dravid soon after the match. Bikaner defeated Kota in electrifying style to take the championship trophy. Bikaner took the trophy along with a cash prize of Rs 1 lakh; Kota was given Rs 50,000 as the runner-up. The grand finale saw huge crowds of fans and supporters cheering for the young athletes. After the game, Royals quoted Dravid saying: "Seeing these young girls play with such passion and determination is a reminder of the bright future of women’s cricket in India." He added: “Tournaments like the Royals Cricket Cup not only provide exposure but also instil confidence in these athletes to dream big. Congratulations to the champions and all the teams for their hard work and spirit." The most experienced coach of all cricket, Rahul Dravid will be back at the IPL auction November 24 and 25. He had earlier this year become the head coach of the Royals after he had successfully staged a stint as the head coach of India's senior men's cricket team.
