Australian fast bowler Pat Cummins is the skipper of national team and Sunrisers Hyderabad in IPL; he has recently shared memories of meeting a Bollywood star, Shah Rukh Khan. Firstly, Pat first met Shah Rukh Khan when he was a young player for Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR). In 2014, he started his journey in the IPL with KKR after which he returned to the team during the 2020 and 2021 seasons as well. Cummins was just in his early teenage when he met the popular Bollywood actor who owns the KKR team and calls this a memorable experience. In a viral video on X (Formerly known as Twitter/X), Cummins revealed: “This is going to get me in trouble, but the first time I ever met Shah Rukh Khan, I had no idea who he was. I think I was 18 or 19 years old, I had never watched a Bollywood film. I met him and said this guy is cool, he’s got a real aura around him, he had a few big security guards. And it was more seeing the other young Indian players so shy with him around and I was like this guy must be pretty special, always very funny, very cute, in terms of a leader and the owner of a team, you couldn’t have asked for a better one. He would only ask us players to enjoy ourselves, to play with freedom. Lots of other owners have a lot of pressure upon themselves to him just to try and take away all the pressure is great." He turned out to be a great team leader in IPL 2024 and guided his team through the season by pouring in alot of energy into it. Sunrisers reached the final under him only to lose to the very team that gave him the chance in his initial IPL stage, now his former team. Also, on the international circuit, Cummins has certainly created headlines for himself. As the captain of the Australian cricket team, he has guided Australia to consecutive triumphs in the World Test Championship (2021-23) and the 2023 ODI World Cup. These victories have catapulted him into the world's top skippers in cricket, proving his capabilities and commitment, both with the IPL and at the international level.
