In the second Test between the West Indies and Australia at St. George's, the Aussie skipper stunned everyone by grabbing a one-handed catch, dismissing Keacy Carty, off his own ball. It happened in the second ball of the 9th over, Cummins dropped the ball at the length as the ball bounced off Carty's bat to the short leg. Cummins had to run over the pitch and slid over the ground to take an almost ground-touching low catch, and that too by one hand. The umpire did give a check to see if the ball fell on the ground or not. But Cummins made no mistake.
