Delhi Capitals defeated Lucknow Super Giants by one wicket in a thrilling encounter on Monday. Chasing 210 to win, Delhi lost three wickets within two overs, stumbling to 7/3. However, Ashutosh Sharma and Vipin Nigam turned the tables for the home side with a crucial 55-run partnership. After Vipin's dismissal, Ashutosh carried the chase to the end, remaining unbeaten at 66. LSG fought back by removing Mitchell Starc and Kuldeep Yadav, rekindling their hopes. When DC needed 39 runs from 17 balls, Kuldeep faced Ravi Bishnoi. In a light-hearted moment, Rishabh Pant playfully engaged in banter with his Indian teammate. Kuldeep attempted to cut a delivery from Bishnoi but missed it completely. Pant collected the ball as Kuldeep held his pose. The LSG captain then jokingly pushed Kuldeep out of the crease and removed the bails, sending Kuldeep to the ground and leaving the players in laughter. "I think as the ball got older, there was some help for the bowlers, but we could have done the basics better. We felt the pressure," he said. In the tense final over, DC needed six runs to win with one wicket in hand. Mohit Sharma was on strike. The first delivery struck his pads and deflected away, preventing Pant from completing a straightforward stumping opportunity. "Luck plays a big part. If it hadn't hit his pad, it would have been a big chance for a stumping," Pant remarked.
