The Tri-Series match between Pakistan and South Africa intensified dramatically when Temba Bavuma was run out in a dramatic incident. The winner stands to seal the final berth against New Zealand, and every moment counts. The incident occurred in 29th over when Mohammad Hasnain delivered a good-length delivery outside off. Bavuma, who was in great touch, guided it to backward point and attempted a risky single. But, Matthew Breetzke, who was at the non-strikers end denied for the run when Bavuma was at the half-way track. Saud Shakeel brilliantly deflected at the stumps as Bavuma was well short of the crease. The South African skipper Bavuma had to take a long walk back to pavilion for 82 off 96 which consisted of 13 fours. Following the run-out, furious celebrations erupted as Kamran Ghulam and Shakeel ran in and celebrated aggressively right in front of Bavuma, robbing the South African captain his route back. However, Salman Agha kept his cool and came in between to take the duo away. The umpires also had to intervene immediately and talk to Mohammad Rizwan about the player's conduct. On the second-last delivery of the 28th over, Shaheen bowled a full delivery on the leg and Breetzke pushed it towards mid-on. Soon after this, Afridi went to Breetzke and exchanged some words. It seemed as if the left-arm pacer was not happy with Breetzke taking a start for the run from the middle of the pitch. On the next ball, Afridi bowled a short of length delivery and Breetzke flicked it for a single. As Afridi was walking back, Breetzke accidently bumped into him while completing the run and this sparked a heated Confrontation between the two players. Bavuma and Rizwan came in to cool down the situation and the umpires too intervened to Defuse the situation.
