Pakistan lost the game by 7 wickets by Bangladesh in the opening T20I of the three-match series on Sunday (July 20). The game was held at the Shere Bangladesh National Stadium in Dhaka. Pakistan was bowled out for 110 runs in 19.3 overs after being asked to bat by Litton Das. Withstanding 2.2 overs of 7/2, the visitors were unable to defend the paltry target of 111 runs. Fakhar Zaman Run Out Leaves Heads Turned Fakhar Zaman was Pakistan's highest scorer with 44 runs off 34 balls, including six fours and one six. He fell short of a well-merited half-century after being run out due to a mix-up with Khushdil Shah. This occurred during the third ball of the 12th over, which was bowled by Mustafizur Rahman. Khushdil had played a shot and scored one run. Having completed the first run, he requested a second but dropped his mind halfway. Fakhar, already halfway there, was stranded. Before he could turn back, Taskin Ahmed hurled the ball from the third-man area to wicketkeeper Litton Das, who smashed the stumps at the striker's end. The mix-up was captured on video and went viral after the fans tweeted the clip on X. Bangladesh Bowlers Shine in Series Opener Taskin Ahmed was the star for Bangladesh with 3/22 in 3.3 overs. Mustafizur Rahman too was impressive, giving away a mere six runs in his four overs and picking up two wickets. Pakistan played the match without key players Babar Azam, Mohammad Rizwan, Shaheen Shah Afridi, and Haris Rauf. The team will seek to rebound in the second T20I, to be played at the same venue on Tuesday, July 22.
