The Pakistan Super League 2025 match between Islamabad United and Multan Sultans turned heated on Wednesday when Colin Munro openly accused Pakistan spinner Iftikhar Ahmed of "chucking" during his over. The dramatic moment came during the 10th over of the run chase, with Islamabad United cruising at the time. Munro had just defended a yorker bowled by Iftikhar when he suddenly turned to the bowler and made the accusation. Though the umpires did not intervene or signal anything unusual with Iftikhar's bowling, Munro showed in action, saying that it was chucking. The confrontation sparked a brief verbal exchange between the two players before the umpires stepped in to resolve the situation. The Multan captain, Mohammad Rizwan, then spoke to Munro to calm him down. However, the umpires did not decide regarding Iftikhar's action. iftikhar vs munro 😳 pic.twitter.com/kYqHo0R4OU — IF7 (@IF7____) April 23, 2025 Islamabad United stay unbeaten after chasing 169 with ease Despite the controversy, the game itself saw another dominant performance from Islamabad United. Chasing a target of 169, they registered a seven-wicket win with 17 balls to spare, continuing their unbeaten run in the tournament. Multan Sultans, after being put in to bat, posted a competitive 168/5 in their 20 overs. Usman Khan stood out with a 40-ball 61, anchoring the innings after early pressure. However, the total proved insufficient against Islamabad’s in-form batting unit.
