The stumps being clattered is one of the best sights for a fast bowler and if you can set up a batter before castling him, it is the ultimate dream for the pacers. Well, that is exactly what Nuwan Thushara managed to do against LSG's Matthew Breetzke in Match 69 of IPL 2025 at Bharat Ratna Shri Atal Bihari Vajpayee Ekana Cricket Stadium in Lucknow. Thushara, who has played 7 matches for MI in 2024, has got his first opportunity with RCB tonight and immediately was given the new ball ahead of the someone like Bhuvneshwar Kumar. He swung the new ball with his slingy action and wasn't the easiest to face for the LSG openers, Matthew Breetzke and Mitchell Marsh, who still got 10 runs off his first over. However, in his second over he bowled a sharp bouncer to the IPL debutant Breetzke and hit him on the helmet. Breetzke, perhaps shaken by the blow, went through the mandatory concussion check and got ready to face the next ball which was an accurate outswinging yorker right on the base of the off stump which the South African batter missed and saw his off-pole fly away as Thushara got his first wicket for RCB. While Hazlewood has just rejoined the squad a couple of days back and might not be 100% fit, David pulled his hamstring in their last match against SRH and was not available for selection. Jitesh Sharma is captaining RCB for the second time as Rajat Patidar will be playing as an impact sub once again as they look to book their spot in the top-2 alongside Punjab Kings but LSG, playing their last match of the season, will have other plans.
