In the ongoing second Test match between India and Australia at Adelaide Oval, Reddy not only played a resilient knock of 42 but also saved the Indian team from a batting collapse. It was during the second ball of the 42nd over against Scott Boland, that Nitish Reddy smashed him for a massive six. Reddy adapted to the conditions quickly, he got to his position for the shot and played it perfectly. Nitish was the top scorer for the Indian team during the first Innings as the Indian team got bowled out for just 180 runs. With Mitchell Starc wreaking havoc on the Indian batting lineup, taking 6 wickets for just 48 runs. Scott Boland and Pat Cummins took two wickets each.
