The Indian all-rounder, Nitish Reddy, is often lauded for his fielding efforts and he portrayed another example on Day 4, in the second Test at Guwahati on Day 4. Reddy was at cover when the batter, Trystan Stubbs, drove the ball off Ravindra Jadeja. The moment the ball deflected off his bat, Reddy ran towards the point and dove in the air, caught it and threw it towards the wicketkeeper, Rishabh Pant. It was a good chance for the Indian team to dismiss Stubbs, who was stealing two runs at that time. Rishabh caught the ball right in front of the wicket but rolled down the second he targeted it. But the ball went way outside the stumps and Stubbs was saved.
