The 21-year-old youngster from India, Nitish Reddy, climbed the Tirumala hill to have a darashan of the Lord Venkateswara. A native of Vishakpattanam, Reddy dubuted for India in the Tests during the Border Gavaskar Trophy, in the very first Test match at Perth. Since then, he has been a consistent lower-order performer for India. After a successful debut, Reddy paid homage to the Lord Venkateswaram Swamy at Andhra Pradesh. According to different Hindu puranas, everything there, including stones, trees, hills, valleys, lakes, animals, birds, and insects in Tirumala, is believed to be pious and forms of Lord Vishnu. Ramanujacharya visited Tirupati three times in the 11th and 12th centuries, where he learned, resolved disputes, and established the Tirupati Jeeyar Mutt, streamlining rituals.
