The 24th match of Big Bash League (BBL) 2024-25 saw Hobart Hurricanes clashing against Adelaide Strikers in Hobart. There is an incident of Hurricanes’ all-rounder Nikhil Chaudhary grabbing the spotlight. While coming to chase the total, the Hurricanes started on a high note but Tim David had plans to finish the game earlier. David scored 62 runs off 28 balls including 6 powerful sixes. Apart from this monstrous show, another thing from the Hurricanes’ inning that is grabbing the spotlight is the powerful sweep shot by their all-rounder Nikhil Chaudhary. On the fifth ball of the 12th over, D'Arcy Short delivered a leg-stump googly, and Nikhil swept the ball towards the deep backward square. While chasing the target of 187, the Hobart Hurricanes team were 101 for 4 but then Nikhil Chaudhary and Tim David registered a 75-run partnership from just 43 deliveries to win it for their team. Nikhil scored 22 runs from the same number of deliveries including 2 boundaries. With this victory, Hobart has now moved up to third position on the BBL leaderboard.
