In a breathtaking exhibition of bowling, Nicol Loftie-Eaton penned history for Namibia in the ICC Men's T20 World Cup Africa Regional Final 2025. The game, which was staged at Harare Sports Club, Harare, was one-way traffic as Namibia routed Malawi with Loftie-Eaton performing a rare double hat-trick and absolutely tearing apart the other side. Malawi had won the toss and decided to bat but fared terribly against Namibia's speed and spin. Loftie-Eaton began his enchanted over by sending Moazzam Baig back for six runs from seven balls, Kazim Somani, Suhail Vayani, and Mike Choamba, all bowled or lbw trapped without making any runs. Loftie-Eaton ended the day with unbelievable bowling figures of 4 wickets for a mere 10 runs, including the double hat-trick which sent the Malawi batting line-up into shock. Loftie-Eaton's effort will stand out as one of the greatest bowling performances in T20 cricket, particularly in a high-profile ICC qualifying tournament. The double hat-trick not only won the game for Namibia but also highlighted the increasing depth of African cricket talent. While Namibia has shown batting and bowling power, they are turning out to be one of the strongest teams in the Africa Regional Final, sitting at the top of Group A's table with three wins in three matches. Malawi, on the other hand, will have to re-strategize and bolster their batting order if they hope to climb up from the bottom.
