Indian fast bowler Mukesh Kumar posted a video on his official Instagram handle in which he was seen dismissing the Indian batting stalwart Virat Kohli. In the video, it can be seen that Mukesh scalped the Indian batter by delivering the ball at the fifth stump line. In a practice match (match stimulation) ahead of the Border-Gavaskar Trophy 2024-25, Mukesh Kumar, who was playing for India A pitched the delivery outside off, nearly at the fifth stump-line. Virat Kohli, as usual, could not resist himself from throwing away his bat for a drive. The batter went after the ball, but unfortunately knicked it off to hand a catch in the slips. In the 2nd clip, Mukesh cleaned up Rishabh Pant while the batter attempted for a flick. The southpaw went for a flick shot but completely missed to connect with the ball and as a result, the batter had to see his stumps being shattered. The third clip was of him dismissing the Indian all-rounder, Ravindra Jadeja. He trapped the left-handed Jadeja with an in-swinging beauty. This was the third time his last 3 innings in this series where he found himself losing his wicket at the same line. It has been a matter of concern for him as the bowlers have been consistently exploiting his weakness. He'll need to change his batting techniques and avoid throwing his bat on the balls which are bowled on the same line.
