MS Dhoni once again proved why he is known as the best wicketkeeper in the world. In the high-voltage clash between Chennai Super Kings and Mumbai Indians in IPL 2025, MS Dhoni dislodged the bails in the blink of an eye to dismiss well-set Suryakumar Yadav. The moment occurred in the 11th over of Mumbai Indians' innings when Noor Ahmad bowled the second delivery to Suryakumar Yadav and the stand-in MI skipper played for a leg-break, but to his surprise, the ball spun away from him. Suryakumar failed to connect, and as he was well out of his crease, MS Dhoni collected the ball and stumped the MI batter in just 0.12 seconds. He dismissed Rohit Sharma for a four-ball duck and trapped Ryan Rickelton LBW in the third over. Suryakumar Yadav and Tilak Varma stabilized the innings to some extent, but Noor Ahmad put the brakes on MI. At one point, it seemed like its Mumbai Indians won't cross the 150-run mark, but it was Deepak Chahar who ensured a fighting total for MI by scoring 28 runs off just 15 balls, taking MI to 155/9 after 20 overs. The onus is now on the MI bowlers to contain the CSK batters from scoring 156 and eventually ending a 12-year streak of losing the first match of the IPL.
