Lays India has partnered with MS Dhoni and has featured him in a collab video with the Barcelona star Lionel Messi for the ad shoot. Both of them were seen doing some juggling. Even though shot in different parts, the video has a smooth transition where Messi, after a short juggle, passes that to MS. The former Indian cricket captain received it on his chest and then had a few juggles and freestyle kicks before throwing it away. His sharp reflexes and impressive goalkeeping caught the attention of his sports teacher, who suggested he try wicketkeeping in cricket to fill a vacant spot in the school team. That moment marked the beginning of Dhoni’s iconic journey in cricket. Hailing from Ranchi, Dhoni went on to become one of India’s most celebrated wicketkeepers. He ended his international career with 829 dismissals in 608 innings — ranking third globally behind Adam Gilchrist (905) and Mark Boucher (998). His quick hands, sharp presence behind the stumps, and calm demeanor became his trademark. Though he left football early in his sporting career, Dhoni’s passion for the game remained. He introduced pre-match football sessions as a warm-up activity in the Indian cricket team. He’s also played in several charity matches alongside Bollywood stars, where fans enjoyed his football flair, from dribbles to powerful shots. Recently, Dhoni returned as the captain of Chennai Super Kings in the IPL, stepping in for Ruturaj Gaikwad, who suffered a hairline fracture. Leading from the front, Dhoni guided CSK to a five-wicket win over LSG and earned the Player of the Match award.
