The cricketing fraternity had a blast of nostalgia recently with two cricket greats, MS Dhoni and Harbhajan Singh, reuniting at a public function. The two had played together on the field for India and Chennai Super Kings (CSK) and have been the driving forces behind some of the nation's most memorable cricketing moments in the form of World Cup titles in 2007 and 2011. But their recent encounter surprised everyone on social media with fans making amusing comparisons to Bollywood actor Salman Khan and past Shark Tank India judge Ashneer Grover. Though the encounter was friendly, the internet couldn't help but give its spin to the tale.West Indies cricket jersey. Right from hoisting trophies together to plotting during tightly contested matches, their association was a pillar of Indian cricket's halcyon days. The composed captain in Dhoni and the hot-headed off-spinner Harbhajan matched perfectly. They came together for the recent ceremony and it brought back memories among the fans, who had idolized them for all these years. “No, I don’t speak to Dhoni. When I was playing at CSK, that’s when we spoke, but otherwise, we haven’t spoken. It’s been 10 years and more. I have no reason; perhaps he does. I don’t know what the reasons are. When we were playing in the IPL at CSK, that’s when we used to talk, and that, too, was restricted to the ground. After that, he did not come to my room, nor did I go to his,” Harbhajan said The reunion also brought to the surface Harbhajan Singh's previous statements regarding his relationship with Dhoni. During an open talk withCricketNext, Harbhajan had shared that the two hadn't communicated in more than a decade. Harbhajan went on to say that their communication was restricted to the cricket field in their CSK days. Those remarks came into the limelight during the latest reunion, getting people curious about the nature of their relationship outside the field. Earlier, he posted a series of tweets criticizing the Indian team management for not including Karun Nair in the 15-man squad for the Champions Trophy. Nair had a phenomenal domestic season, scoring 779 runs in eight games, but was overlooked in the team. BCCI chief selector Ajit Agarkar spoke about the matter at a press conference, crediting Nair's good performances but explaining the difficulty in accommodating him in the team. "It's difficult. Those are very special performances. But currently, to make space in this team is very challenging," said Agarkar at the press conference for the Champions Trophy team announcement.
