In the 2nd Test between India and England at Birmingham's Edgbaston, spectators saw something magical on the ground. Mohammed Siraj took a stunning one-handed catch at short mid-wicket to get rid of Josh Tongue. Jadeja's delivery was pitched up on leg stump, and Tongue attempted to flick it away, but failed to keep it down. Siraj read it so nicely, dived to his right, and caught it with one hand. He stayed on the ground for a couple of seconds, soaking in the glory, as his teammates were running in to congratulate him. It was a game-altering moment that testified to India's keen fielding effort in this decisive Test match. England's bowlers had a tough time, but India's fast bowlers, headed by Akash Deep, performed marvelously. Akash bowled at pace, employed angles, and got movement from the ball. England lost early wickets in both innings 84 for 5 in the first and 83 for 5 in the second. Akash Deep picked 10 wickets in the match and replaced injured Bumrah perfectly. Siraj also played a good supporting role with the ball. Gill, Akash Deep, and Siraj each took a stump as a souvenir of this historic victory at the conclusion of the match.
