Day 1 of the 1st Test between India and Australia in Perth has witnessed enough drama already. While Indian pacers continued to shine, the game heated during a fiery 13th over of the Australa's first innings. That was the incident when Mohammed Siraj bowled a short-of-length delivery that nipped back and flicked Marnus Labuschagne on the thigh pad. Siraj, in his follow-through, went to pick the ball near the stumps. But Labuschagne managed to push the ball away with his bat, though it was not heading towards the stump. Siraj visibly was not all too pleased with the move by Labuschagne, which came when the batter was not fully within the crease. Although it is theoretically allowable for a batter to deflect the ball when it's coming towards the stumps, the deflection by Labuschagne seemed uncalled for, which caused further tension between both. The matter heated up as Siraj and Labuschagne exchanged some words. Virat Kohli, who was already charged up on the field, joined in, looking visibly agitated. Kohli even stumped the bails off the stumps in vexation. Meanwhile, Siraj tried to kick the ball towards the stumps; by that time, Marnus Labuschagne was safely back into his crease.
