On a night Brisbane skies were already aglow with fireworks, Allan Border Field was set alight by Marnus Labuschagne in his own style. The Redlands star all-rounder helped deliver a jaw-dropping hat-trick with his leg-spin that not only brought an end to Valley's innings but also handed Redlands the 2025 KFC T20 Max title. Jimmy Pearson's century had propelled Redlands to a formidable score of 191/6, but Valley appeared very much alive in the pursuit, driven by Max Bryant's bold batting. Valley was at the peak of their form when suddenly Labuschagne intervened. He claimed three wickets on three successive balls, and the Valley tailenders were back in the pavilion. The victims were Cameron Boyce, Tom Hallion, and previously Tighe Morris, as Labuschagne's accuracy and leg-spin magic mesmerized the crowd. Valley Hopes' hopes were pinned on Max Bryant, who blasted 76 off 38 deliveries at a strike rate of 200, keeping his side in the game. But once Bryant was out, the chase turned into a rout. Labuschagne, being secure with three catches, came back to seal the tail in the 17th over. Valley was bowled out for 150 in 17.2 overs, giving Redlands a historic victory. Batting first, Redlands had also depended a lot on Jimmy Pearson, who made 102 not out off 50 balls at a strike rate of 204. Lower-order scoring by Lachlan Bangs and Leigh Drennan, both getting 19, also contributed vital runs. Valley's chase, though with Bryant's scorching innings, couldn't equal the target.
