A funny situation and a moment that would be remembered for a long time occurred on the second day of the match between Sylhet Division and Khulna Division during NCL 2024 in Cox's Bazar. The off-spinner of Khulna, Mahedi Hasan who was bowling to the settled Sylhet batter Asadulla Al Galib, who scored a century, accidentally let the ball slip out of his hands. Seizing the opportunity, Asadulla ran forward and attempted a swing at the loose ball for a six down the leg side. Instead, he found himself caught by a substitute fielder Sheikh Parvez Jibon standing well inside the boundary line. In this fantastic twist of fate, the gigantic 251-run partnership between Asadulla and his skipper, Amite Hasan, was all washed away when they started their partnership with 214-3 on the board.
