The season continues to go from bad to worse for the LSG skipper Rishabh Pant who was brought in by LSG at a whopping price of INR 27 Crores making him the costliest player ever to be sold in the league's history. The tournament was paused for a week due to the India-Pakistan issues and even the break has done Pant no good as his rut of low scores has continued post the resumption. In Match 61 between LSG and SRH at Ekana Stadium in Lucknow being played today (May 19), Rishabh Pant walked out to bat at number 3 ahead of LSG's best batter this season Nicholas Pooran and that move did not work out for the LSG skipper as he could only manage 7 runs off 6 balls including just one boundary taking his season tally to only 135 runs in 11 innings. Prior to the season, Goenka had heaped praises on his new skipper Rishabh Pant and said that he will be remembered along the lines of Dhoni and Rohit in the future expecting him to win 5-6 IPL titles in the next 10-12 years.
