During the 7th match of the Women's World Cup 2025, Laura Wolvaardt caught eyes with a stunning one-handed catch she took to dismiss the New Zealand batter Lea Tahuhu off Nonkululeko Mlaba. Tahuhu swung at a full delivery outside off, sending it sailing toward the outfield. For a moment, it seemed destined to escape to extra cover. But Laura Wolvaardt, with her remarkable agility, launched herself forward and to her right, stretching out her right hand in a spectacular leap. The ball stuck perfectly in her grasp. Calm and composed, Wolvaardt immediately steadied herself as if it were routine before her teammates swarmed in celebration. Notably, after the match the bowler Mlaba even appreciated her captain Wolvaardt for the catch after the match. I think Laura Wolvaardt deserves equal appreciation here❤️👏pic.twitter.com/13U5O3zfWl — Rajiv (@Rajiv1841) October 8, 2025 Read also: Wankhede to honour Dilip Vengsarkar with life-size statue SA-W overpower NZ-W by six wickets in Indore In the 7th match of the ICC Women’s World Cup at Indore on October 6, 2025, South Africa Women chased down New Zealand’s 231 with authority, finishing at 234/4 in 40.5 overs, leaving 55 balls to spare.
