In the 11th match of the Vitality Blast Women between Warwickshire Women and Somerset Women at Edgbaston, Laura Harris of Warwickshire grabbed an absolute blinder to cut short the innings of Chloe Skelton while they were in the chase. The moment occurred on the second delivery of the 19th over when Skelton stepped out and smacked Millie Taylor's delivery towards the covers attempting for a boundary. However, Laura Harris, who was positioned at covers had some other plans. Their decision went against them as Warwickshire posted 172 at the loss of nine wickets in their allotted 20 overs. Although Somerset delivered some early blows to Warwickshire, they failed to control the run flow in the latter half of the innings. Laura Harris was the game changer for Warwickshire as she mustered 77 runs off 34 balls and her innings comprised of nine fours and four sixes. Her innings helped her side to reach a total which proved to be a match winning one. In pursuit of 173, Somerset struggled from the beginning. Warwickshire kept scalping wickets at regular intervals, and they did not allow the batters to score runs against them. Fran Wilson (31) was the top scorer, but no other batter managed to score more than 20. For Warwickshire, Georgia Davis and Millie Taylor bagged three wickets each, while Issy Wong picked up two wickets. Hannah Baker also picked up a wicket giving away just 19 runs and the collective effort helped bundle Somerset out for just 103 runs with five balls to spare. With this win, Warwickshire Women have won two of their four matches, and they are now placed at the second spot in the points table. Somerset Women, on the other hand, remains at the bottom, losing all three matches they played so far.
