West Indies all-rounder Kyle Mayers has established himself as one of the finest fielders in the game with a multitude of stellar catches. The burly player once again pulled off a blinder in the ongoing Caribbean Premier League 2024, sending back Saint Lucia Kings skipper Faf du Plessis in the 3rd over while chasing 202 runs. Kings had already lost two wickets and Du Plessis tried an adventurous shot over wide mid-on. The catch was so good that Mayers had to sprint back and leap in the air to take it. It was an outstanding catch, if not terribly difficult one. His effort was appreciated on social media. Of course, much of the credit must also go to Anrich Nortje for bowling a skiddy, short ball that led to Du Plessis playing a very risky shot. There's nothing quite so satisfying as receiving an award for one's efforts, yet so unsatisfying as not to have done just that little bit more to win the game. Kyle Mayers was in just that situation in this match as he won the Player of the Match award for his great batting, impressive bowling, and stunning catch. There could be no question as to who the winner was because Mayers outdid everyone in every sphere of the game. Also Read | Top 10 Unforgettable Moments in CPL History You Need to See
