Piyush Chawla said he shares a great bond and friendship with his Indian teammates, including Virat Kohli, as they have played together since their under-19 days. Speaking to Shubman Gaur in an interview, the leg-spinner said Kohli remains the same person he was 10-15 years ago and apparently responded to what Amit Mishra had said. Chawla's comments have come after Amit Mishra recently claimed that Kohli has changed over time and isn't the same person he was at the start of his career. Mishra said: “I have seen Virat change a lot. We had almost stopped talking. When you get fame and power, they think people are reaching out to them for a purpose. I was never one of those. I have known Cheeku since the time he was 14, when he used to eat Samosas, and when he needed Pizza every night." Meanwhile, Chawla praised Kohli, saying that his experience with Virat has always been positive. He said: "Virat Kohli is still the same as me as he was 10-15 years before. My experience with him is always good, and I share great camaraderie." Chawla, however, said that he had one recently in which, while he was on the boundary during his commentary assignment, Virat asked him to order some good food. Chawla said: "During Asia Cup, he was fielding at the boundary ropes, while I was there for a commentary stint. So, he came to me and said 'PC, Let's order something to eat. 'So, he has the same conversations with us that we used to have 10-15 years ago."
