KL Rahul made his IPL debut through the Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) team in the year 2013. Then he played for Sunrisers Hyderabad (2014-2015) and rejoined RCB again in 2016. RCB released him, as he didn't play in the 2017 season due to an injury. In 2018, Rahul became a part of the Punjab Kings and played there until 2021. Since 2022, he is the captain of Lucknow Super Giants. Despite his achievements with LSG, Rahul has, however, time and again expressed his desire to play for RCB. So, with the mega auction coming up this year, the 32-year-old batter might leave the Lucknow franchise, which he joined for Rs 17 crore before the IPL 2022 auction, and return to RCB. Though nothing is certain, and there's no confirmation that Rahul will join RCB after the mega auction, rumors have been doing the rounds on social media for some time.
