The fifth and last Test of the Anderson-Tendulkar Trophy between England and India at The Oval became heated on Day 2, with tempers getting frayed on the field. One charged moment came when Joe Root, after scoring a boundary, had an irate outburst to Indian pacer Prasidh Krishna, who had a couple of words for the former England skipper. Joe Root did not like it one bit and walked aggressively to Prasidh Krishna. Things had escalated so much that on-field umpires Kumar Dharmasena and Ahsan Raza had to intervene to pacify things. But the show was far from over. KL Rahul Defends Prasidh Krishna Indian opener KL Rahul intervened to defend his teammate and asked the umpire what was the issue. Rahul inquired from Dharmasena if players are supposed to bat, bowl, and not express any emotions on the field. Dharmasena warned Rahul about his tone and stated there would be a chat after the game. Here's a short excerpt from the exchange: Rahul: "What do you want us to do? Be quiet?" Dharmasena: "You will like any bowler come and walk to you? No, you can't do that. No, Rahul, we should not go on that way." Rahul: "What do you want us to do? Just bat and bowl and go home?" Dharmasena: "We will discuss at the end of the match. You can't talk like that."
