Batting first, TKR scored a grand total of 179 runs in 20 overs. Pollard set the tone with a fiery 65 scored from just 29 deliveries with a strike rate of an astonishing 224.14. His knock consisted of eight massive sixes and two fours. Nicholas Pooran also chipped in with a smooth 52 from 38 deliveries, and Andre Russell contributed a cameo of 10 runs off only five balls, including a boundary and a six.
