Pakistan Shaheens opener Khawaja Muhammad Nafay lost his temper at teammate Yasir Khan during the first T20 match of Top End T20 Series in Australia after a catastrophic mix-up resulted in his run-out. The incident occurred on Thursday (August 14) at the TIO Stadium, Northern Territory. On the first delivery of the 12th over by Hasan Mahmud, Yasir tried a big hit but did not get a proper connection. Nafay, who was at the non-striker's end, saw a chance for a run and quickly set off. Yasir first reacted, taking two steps forward, but then turned back. By then, Nafay had nearly covered the striker's end and was compelled to reverse direction. By the time he could find his way back to the non-striker's end, Hasan Mahmud picked up a throw from the Bangladesh A wicketkeeper and dislodged the bails. Nafay, who was playing wonderfully well, was out for 61 off 31 balls, with 8 fours and 2 sixes. His anger was visible as he tossed his bat aside in rage and had a heated argument with Yasir on the field. The clip of this fiery exchange, posted by 7Cricket on X, went viral quickly.
