Sunrisers Hyderabad suffered their fourth consecutive loss of the IPL 2025 season on Monday. The last season’s finalists managed just 152/8 after being asked to bat first, a total that proved too low against a strong Gujarat Titans (GT) side. SRH’s top order faltered once again, with all three top batters dismissed cheaply, reducing the side to 50/3 in the 8th over. As the wickets kept tumbling, SRH owner Kavya Maran, who was seen in the stands, couldn’t hide her disappointment. Her emotional and animated reactions to the dismissals quickly went viral, becoming a hot meme topic across social media platforms once again. In their season opener, SRH posted a mammoth 286 against Rajasthan Royals, setting the record for the highest team total in IPL 2025. In all four recent matches, the top order was inconsistent, and SRH have struggled to replicate their aggressive style. Titans Cruise to Victory Chasing 153, the Gujarat Titans overcame an early hiccup at 16/2, thanks to a remarkable performance in the middle overs. Shubman Gill anchored the innings with an unbeaten 61 off 43, while Washington Sundar added a valuable 49 off 29. Later, Sherfane Rutherford’s quickfire 35 off 16 made sure that GT crossed the finish line in just 17 overs. With this massive win, GT moved up to the second spot on the points table, while SRH stays at the bottom, with four losses and a win from five appearances.
