England's captain Jos Buttler staged a strong comeback in the second T20I against the West Indies at the Kensington Oval in Barbados on Sunday. After being dismissed for a duck in the first match, Buttler turned the tables over the left-arm spinner Gudakesh Motie by smashing a gigantic 115-meter six that went viral across social media. It happened in the 9th over when Buttler stepped down the track and sent Motie's ball flying over long-on. Buttler played a match-winning knock of 83 off 45 balls as England cruised home to an easy seven-wicket victory. This win handed England a 2-0 lead in the five-match series. The West Indies had built a defendable score initially through a late push from the lower order with 32 runs coming in the final two overs. Watch the video of 115m six by Jos Buttler: 🏏💥 WHAT. A. Buttler, though, taking his second game back after missing four months due to a calf injury layoff, was dominant, hitting six sixes to keep the scoreboard ticking. He formed a huge 128-run partnership for the second wicket with Will Jacks. Jack's score was 38 before being dismissed, and Buttler lost soon after, but Liam Livingstone's brisk 23 not out took the day for England, and they went on to win with five overs to spare. Earlier in the game, Buttler won the toss and elected to bowl. England fast bowler Jofra Archer picked up some early wickets to actually restrict West Indies to 35-3. Half-centuries by Rovman Powell and late hitting from Romario Shepherd, who made 22 off 12 balls, helped the hosts stage a fightback, but it wasn't to be enough to prevent England from taking control. England will now travel to Saint Lucia as the first team in contention to win their first T20 series on the Caribbean soil since they did the same back in 2019.
