Jonny Bairstow is currently representing Yorkshire in the County Championship Division One 2025. The experienced English wicketkeeper-batter is also the captain of the team. He has been in good touch with the bat, scoring 359 runs in 10 innings at an average of 44.88. During Yorkshire's recent game against Essex, a moment from Bairstow's batting has made the rounds on social media. The 35-year-old fluffed two successive balls but continued to hold his batting stance for several seconds on both occasions, which tickled fans' funny bones. A video shows Essex fast bowler Shane Snater bowling two consecutive balls that pace past Bairstow's bat. But far from responding, Bairstow remained motionless and held his stance for several seconds after every shot. Most of the fans on social media made light of the incident, relating it to the Ashes 2023 scandal. At the Lord's Test, Bairstow was run out in a peculiar manner after he stepped out of his crease prematurely. Fans now claim he has "learned his lesson" and never moves even after the ball goes past him.
