England's ace pacer Jofra Archer pulled off one of the best caught-and-bowled dismissals you’ll see this year, as India’s batting collapsed on Day 5 of the third Test at Lord’s. The 25th over produced a quick, full ball from Archer at 140kph, which was angled into Washington Sundar. The ball slowed up marginally on Sundar, and he shut the bat face early. It struck the toe of the bat and popped in the air to the right of Archer. It was after this that the brilliance ensued. In a split moment, Archer dived across with his one hand and picked up the ball inches from the ground with his right hand. The catch seemed easy, but it was a class-top reflex moment that left everyone on the field bewildered. Sundar had to trudge back without scoring, and India were in big trouble. The move turned out to be fruitful for them as the southpaw fell short soon after the tactic was implemented by the hosts. KL Rahul indicated that the ball has first made the contact with the bat, but England went up to the third umpire. The replays indicated that Rahul's bat got struck into the pad of his backfoot while the ball had hit on the front foot pad, directly in front of the top of the middle stump. Rahul had scored 39, and his dismissal was a major setback. Then walked in Sundar, but Archer did not allow him to settle. After a pair of sharp deliveries, the England fast bowler struck again with his one-handed thunderbolt. India collapsed to 81/6, as England dominated this see-sawing final Test. Archer's speed and menace have caused a massive impact, and this catch could prove to be a match-turning moment. So far in this innings, the speedster has picked up three wickets and he will surely aim for a fifer on his return to Test cricket.
