Jofra Archer provided England with the ideal beginning on Day 5 of the thriller third Test at Lord's by removing Rishabh Pant with an excellent ball. Only two deliveries prior to the fall of the wicket, Pant had walked forward and struck a straight four confidently, demonstrating intent very early in the day. But Archer returned strongly. On the fifth ball of the 21st over, he bowled a beauty which flew Pant's off-stump out of ground. It was the sort of ball that every fast bowler wishes for, perfectly pitched, with seam standing upright, and nipping away just enough to miss Pant's outside edge. Pant, who had scored 9 runs off 12 balls with two boundaries, appeared absolutely blocked. He did not use his feet and played a feeble shot. The ball did the rest. Archer's inflamed spell provided England an early breakthrough, and the off stump cartwheeling added to the drama. Archer was pumped and was seen shouting on the face of Rishabh Pant. The tensions rose when Shubman Gill and his team were irritated with Zak Crawley and Ben Duckett. They felt the England batters were stalling to prevent another over being bowled before Stumps. Gill and Crawley exchanged a few words, and Gill even came chest-to-chest with Duckett. Even from the field, Mohammed Siraj was observed saying some words. The intensity did not cease on Day 4. Siraj gave a passionate send-off to Duckett on taking his wicket, and Nitish Kumar Reddy performed the same thing to Zak Crawley. Siraj also found himself in trouble regarding his celebration. The ICC penalized him as he bumped shoulders with Duckett while celebrating and it was against their rules. Coming to the game, England is all over the Indian side with three quick wickets in the first hour of the day. Archer has breathed fire with the ball, while Stokes has shown some excellent piece of bowling. The game is still hanging in balance as Jadeja and Nitish are showing some resilience.
