Queensland and South Australia are up against each other in the ongoing final of the Sheffield Shield 2024-25 at Karen Rolton Oval. IOn the opening day of the match, one of the finest catches behind the wickets was witnessed, courtesy of Jimmy Peirson. On the last ball of the 10th over of South Australia's inning, Callum Vidler bowled a pitched-up delivery which angled out a bit. Nathan McSweeney, the skipper of Queensland, attempted a front-foot defense, but the ball took an outside edge and travelled toward first slip. However, Peirson dived to his right and grabbed an absolute stunner with one hand. His magnificent effort sent back McSweeney for a 15-ball duck. This was Vidler's second wicket, earlier he had dismissed the opener, Henry Hunt for a 19-ball duck.
