Durham's top order failed to deliver in the second league game as they were reduced to 71/4 in 10.5 overs. However, some late hits from Ben Raine (29), Jimmy Neesham (40*) and Will Rhodes (18*) took Durham to a respectable total of 150/6 in their allotted 20 overs. For Lancashire, James Anderson was the pick of the bowlers. The 42-year-old right arm pacer returned with the figures of 3/17, and he was assisted by Aspinwall, Wells and Blatherwick with one wicket each. The chase for Lancashire wasn't a cakewalk either as they too were reduced to 80 for 4 in the pursuit. However, Michael Jones hammered 55 off 39 to take Lancashire close to victory. Josh Bohannan too played a crucial role with 31 off 28, helping his side to level the score before Neesham sent him packing off a stunner. With just one run required on the last ball, Jack Blatherwick, the new man in, took a single off the last delivery to secure a win. This was the third victory in three matches for Lancashire in this season and they are currently sit at the top of the North Group table. Durham on the other hand are placed at fourth with one win in two matches.
