India, under the captaincy of Shubman Gill, are preparing to face the third Test of the Anderson-Tendulkar Trophy 2025. The game will be held at the iconic Lord's Stadium in London from July 10 to July 14. India will get a major boost since Jasprit Bumrah, India's lead fast bowler, is all set to rejoin the playing XI. Bumrah had sat out the second Test because of workload management but is now fit. He was observed bowling in the nets with full vigor during a practice session with his teammates. Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) tweeted a clip featuring Bumrah in action. In the clip, he was sharing a light moment with his colleague fast bowler Shardul Thakur, who teased Bumrah by touching his feet jokingly. It didn't end there, Bumrah played a prank by referring to himself as "Lord," playing on the name of the Lord's Stadium. Bumrah said. "Ye dekho Lord, Lord's", to which Shardul responded with, "Tabhi Jasprit Bumrah ke per padne padte hai (That's why we need to touch Jasprit Bumrah's feet.") Reacting to this, Bumrah said, "Ye to inka badappan hai, me inke sath khade hu vahi mein jeet gaya (This is his greatness, I stood with him and that is why I won." The team replaced him with Nitish Kumar Reddy, the fast bowling all-rounder. Nitish was not able to leave an indelible mark on the Edgbaston match, though. Discussing the series, India reversed the trend with a massive victory over England in the second Test. They won the match by an enormous 336 runs at Edgbaston in Birmingham. The victory put India on an even keel at 1-1 in the series and also made them look strong for the third Test. While India are still finalizing their squad, England have already announced their team for the Lord's Test. They have picked fast bowler Jofra Archer, who is back in Test cricket after a long hiatus. Archer played his last Test match in February 2021, also against India, at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad. As both teams are making changes and recalling key players, the third Test at Lord's will be a high-stakes and thrilling game.
