Jasprit Bumrah once again proved why he is the world's best. On Day 1 of the third Test at Lord's, Bumrah sent the highest-rated Test batsman Harry Brook packing with an unbelievable delivery immediately after the tea break. It was the 55th over of England's innings when Bumrah, who had bowling speed of 140 km/h, tossed up a special delivery. It was a nip-backer, one that seamed in sharply after landing on the pitch. Brook, who was in front of the off stump, attempted to block it by pushing the ball onto the off-side. But he missed the ball completely. The ball came late and slipped through the space between his pad and bat. It hit the top of the off stump. Harry Brook was frozen for a second in shock, and Bumrah did not even celebrate wildly, he just walked back calmly with a smile, as if he knew it would happen all along. Brook had been in comfortable nick prior to the break, but this ball from Bumrah was simply too good. The Indian team was raring to go after this breakthrough, since it put them in charge of the day's final session. Bumrah's skill at bowling such precise and menacing deliveries is one of the reasons why he is the world number one ranked Test bowler. This wicket was the epitome of perfect control, timing, and skill, a textbook definition of fast bowling at its most brilliant. England were in control prior to Tea as they survived the whole 2nd session without losing even a wicket. However, the third session brought a couple of wickets - first Ollie Pope, followed by Harry Brook. Joe Root is standing tall at one end, and he is now accompanied by the English skipper Ben Stokes. With the third session typically being a tough one to survive at Lord's, India will try their best to at least get a couple more wickets before the end of the day's play.
