On Day 2 of the third Test between India and England at Lord's, Jasprit Bumrah once again proved why he's the world's best fast bowler. Having dismissed Harry Brook with a penetrative nip-backer on Day 1, Bumrah bowled another cracker of a ball, this time to send England captain Ben Stokes packing. On the 2nd delivery of the 86th over, India's pace ace Bumrah bowled around the wicket, pitching it in good length outside off. The ball turned back sharply, and Stokes, who was caught on the crease, had no hope. The ball hit the top of off stump, and it flew, leaving the crowd in awe. On Day 1, he had left Brook stunned with a similar ball. Stokes now became his next major scalp. Stokes had battled hard for his 44 off 110 balls, but Bumrah's artistry was just too good to handle. The moment was of class, Bumrah's expression serene, the stumps broken, and the Indian team erupting in joy. It was a major breakthrough for India as England were beginning to establish a solid partnership. Following this, India continued to put pressure. Joe Root, having just scored his century, was also out shortly thereafter. Bumrah got him with another well-directed ball that hit the inside edge and crashed into the stumps. Immediately after Root's dismissal, Chris Woakes stepped out to bat and was out off the very first delivery he received. Bumrah was now on a hat-trick, but the new player defended the subsequent ball and preserved his wicket. England had finished well on Day 1 at 251/4. But on Day 2, they lost three key wickets within a few overs – Stokes, Root, and Woakes. This has tilted the game in India's direction due to the outstanding spell of bowling by Bumrah.
