Cello Basin Reserve, Wellington, will host the second test from December 6, while the third test will be played at Seddon Park, Hamilton, from December 14. Prior to the Test series, a two-day warm-up match was supposed to be played at John Davies Oval, Queenstown, between New Zealand and England, from November 23. The match has been drawn with Snehith Reddy Devireddy scoring 60 for New Zealand in the first inning and captain Troy Johnson scoring 80 runs in the second. England played only one inning, with Joe Root scoring 82 not and the skipper Ben Stokes scoring 59 of 39 balls. James Anderson Retirement James Anderson had already announced his retirement from red-ball cricket, as he had played his last Test in July this year, against the West Indies at the Lords. In his instagram post, he had written, "I’m going to miss walking out for England so much. But I know the time is right to step aside and let others realise their dreams just like I got to, because there is no greater feeling." Anderson has played Test cricket for almost 20 years to become one of the greatest bowlers the format has seen. He made his Test debut at Lord’s in 2003 and has taken 700 wickets in 187 Tests.
