The 2026 Pakistan Super League (PSL) is reaching its exciting climax, and on Thursday, April 23, the double-header saw Rawalpindi Pindiz and Karachi Kings come out on top, defeating Islamabad United and Lahore Qalandars, respectively. The team led by Shadab Khan, who are in a tight race for the last two playoff spots, faced a tough challenge from Rawalpindi Pindiz, losing by 6 wickets. After the match, Islamabad United's head coach, Luke Ronchi, attended the post-match press conference, where things got a bit heated. Following the loss, Ronchi was clearly frustrated, and that tension bubbled over during the presser when a journalist interrupted him. While he was trying to answer a question, Ronchi snapped, saying, “He can ask me a question; I don’t give a sh*t.” His comment created an awkward atmosphere in the room, prompting the media coordinator to step in and restore some order. With their next match against Hyderabad Kingsmen on April 24, followed by a showdown with Multan Sultans on April 26, they’re eager to secure a spot in the final four. Reflecting on last night’s game against the team led by Mohammad Rizwan, they managed to score only 137 runs in their 20 overs, largely due to two wickets each from Mohammad Amir, Saad Masood, and Dian Forrester. In response, United struggled to take wickets at crucial moments, and a solid second-wicket partnership of 78 runs between Rizwan and Kamran Ghulam allowed the Pindiz to chase down the target in just 18.1 overs.
